Ibrahim Uwais,  Son of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria has been reportedly killed in Alepo in Syria as the the United state Airstrikes aimed at the IS terrorists group in the region.

 SaharaReporters reports that young Uwais, a son of former Chief Justice Mohammed Uwais, died today near Aleppo, Syria as the United States targeted members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in fierce airstrikes.

US, UK specialist team in Maiduguri, set to start search for missing Chibok girls

Among the many world powers that indicate interest and support to join Nigeria in the search and rescue operations to free the Boko Haram Abducted Chibok School Girls in Borno state are US, UK, Canada France and China. United States military officials are arriving Nigeria Friday to join local officials in the search for over 200 school girls taken captive by the Islamist Terrorists.

US Secretary of State John Kerry, and the defence department, Pentagon, confirmed the deployment of their special forces for the search operations in Nigeria. “Our interagency team is landing the ground in Nigeria now and they are going to be working … with President Goodluck Jonathan’s government to do everything that we possibly can to return these girls.” Kerry said.

UPDATES: How Boko Haram kills 300 people in Borno

The dreaded Boko Haram Islamic sect were on rampage at Gamborou Ngala town in Borno State on Monday killing at least 300 people, says the reports.

Islamist Terrorists who in amoured vehicles, drove into Gamborou, a town situated along Nigeria-Cameroon border which is also the administrative headquatres of Ngala Local Government of the state, about 200 km from Maiduguri, fired sporadic shots into a crowd in a local market and wreak more havoc to the town .

A senator representing the area in the Nigeria Senate, Ahmed Zannah confirmed the killings. adding that the invaders spent 12 hours wreaking havoc on defenceless civilians.

According to him, several other persons were also injured in the attack, while almost all the houses and shops in the town were burnt down. Senator Zannah told BBC Hausa reporters that many people were wounded, while surviving victims were rendered homeless as thousands of houses and shops were burnt by the rampaging gunmen.

Maduguri, the Borno state capital has again been hit by deadly explosions from suicide bombers suspected to be members of the dreaded group, Islamist Boko Haram fighters.

Premium times reports that four suspected terrorists believed to be suicide bombers, apparently heading for an NNPC facility along Maiduguri-Damboa road have died in their IED-laden vehicles, the defence headquarters has said.

The Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, said the explosions took place at Mulai in the outskirt of Maiduguri.

Mr. Olukolade, a Major General, said three of the four explosive-laden vehicles were demobilized by shots fired at them by soldiers at the check point shortly before the explosions that rocked the area.

Five soldiers were wounded while the civilian casualties are yet to be determined, Mr. Olukolade said.

Nigeria Troops arrest 31 fleeing Boko Haram fighters attempting t cross fromTaraba and Adamawa into Cameroun

The Special Forces of the multinational Army have arrested 31 Boko Haram fighters who were attempting to flee the country through Taraba and Adamawa in to Cameroun.

This group of Boko Haram terrorists attempting to escape into Cameroon through Taraba and Gumti in Adamawa State have come under heavy fire from troops on patrol of the area in the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign.

Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, said on Thursday that one of those arrested was a mercenary claiming to be a citizen Chad and Burkina Faso.
