Following the Enough is Enough Abuja protest today in which Japhet Omojuwa and some other members of the protesting group were arrested  by the department of the state security service.

Their Protest was as result of the Immigration recruitment exercise tragedy that lead to the stampede and eventual death of some of the applicants while many others sustained various degree of injuries due to the poor organisations of the exercise .

It was learnt that omojuwa and the rest  arrested were transferred to the FCT office if the SSS for interrogations and access to them even by the layers denied.

"Waziri Adio, publisher of Metropole magazine has been denied access to him. Lawyers are outside the office and have been denied access to him and not even allowed to enter the premises." El-Rufail posted on his facebook page.
"These are serial violations of the constitution. It will happen to any one of us anytime we choose to exercise our constitutional rights of association, assembly and free speech to the chagrin of murderers of 19 Enough is Enough Abuja protest!" "We must all respond to this unlawful detention with condemnation and further action unless it abates forthwith." El-Rufai said.

Azeenarh and Uche Briggs were also detained. I am sorry these fine fine young men and woman will face the unlawful use of coercive power. I congratulate them for their courage.

However It has just been confirmed that the courageous trio have been released by the SSS.

We must not joke with constitutional rights and must resist oppression in any and all it's firms.
