Nigeria is OK - Gumi

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Nigeria, it's people, it's demographic composition and religious differences. You cannot divide the nation on any of those disparities. There is only one thing absolutely wrong with Nigeria. That is the way it's governed.

Today Nigeria is in the most deplorable state of insecurity and economic hardship more especially in some regions simply because of the wanton recklessness with which it's governed. This crisis is like cancer, it will surely engulf the whole country if the right steps are not immediately taken to revert the course of this fatefully destined derailment. Nobody should be delusioned that he is safe.

It's in news that soldiers are getting the heat also. (See:http://m.bbc.com/news/world-africa-28855292 ). They are realizing the the truth of the matter. They are seeing that they are 'sacrificed' for what can be said to be a possible 'political rituals'. Africans are known to be superstitious.
This is a very dangerous phase not only of our corporate existence but of our stability and peaceful coexistence.

Just yesterday a group of men from Kaduna township visited me with a horrible news that Today Wednesday 20th some group of soldiers that 'mutinied' sometimes ago in Maiduguri because of the casualties they sustained as a result of an 'irrational order' they got from their commander will be executed. One of the soldiers phoned his mother with the sad news that they will executed seeking her forgiveness.

What this means is that soldiers will soon learn one thing. That they are not only fighting the oblivious Boko Haram that is killing them like fowl but that there is also another monster that is driving them to perdition. If it is true - I pray not- then this is pure recklessness! This is madness!

There is only one thing that can explain this psychosis. If all other political maneuvers to cling to power fails, Nigeria has in the past experienced violence as a result of the greed of it's ruling class.

Is the miscarriage of the national conference the reason for the reactivation of this 'military' option? What can possibly abort this most dangerous trend?

Why would Boko Haram be so eager as an urgency to eliminate Gen. Buhari the chief political opponent of the government that is their primary target?

There is more than meet the eyes in Nigeria.

May Allah abort all the plots against this dear nation of ours and give us good and responsible leadership. AMIN!
