He cited threat to his life and that of his supporters by the Iyiola Omisore political camp, polarisation of ward congresses among others as reasons for his withdrawal.
Speaking with newsmen this evening in his Ede Country home, Senator Isiaka Adeleke said many of his delegates have received many messages threatening their life.
He said he cannot because of a governorship ambition risk the lives of his numerous supporters; hence he bows out of the race.
He said ‘he is looking forward to a day that there will be a free and fair primary election to usher in a party candidate for him to participate’.
It would be recalled that many scenarios have been trailing the entrance of Adeleke into the governorship race raging from Presidency support, protest to postpone the primary election, violent attack against his person and supporters during stakeholders meeting at a Hotel few days ago among others.
However, the primary has been scheduled to hold at GMT Event Centre,off Ring Road,Osogbo.
