As the academic strike embarked upon by osun tertiary institutions enters another month our union National Association of Osun State Students {NAOSS} shall not stop speaking for over 1 million students in the state of osun.
We may not have a condition of "state collapse" where a state has no effective control of its territorial affairs but other astonishing indice such as TERTIARY EDUCATION is evident or should we say that "osun tertiary education is approaching shambolic state?"
In light of the continued strike in our state tertiary institutions, one cannot imagine the consequential effect of this academic strike on the students, parents and tertiary communities, some of the students are tired of overdue long trade learning, some of have resulted to illegal business operation, unwanted pregnancies, stealing, political thugs and other evil act which is unacceptable to our society.
Infact there are so many reports on how parents/guardians are frustrated and have resulted to seek admission for their wards in other state/federal higher institutions.
Tertiary communities complained a lot about thier business/trade which has been rocky since the inception of the strike making survival more hard for them. Yet, the state government have not considered all this pressing situations.
