Ekiti Election: Fayemi did not lose the election in a free, fair and credible contest - Bally

The just concluded gubernatorial election in Ekiti is one of the worst conducted in Nigeria history. Though the urbane and peace loving incumbent governor Kayode Fayemi has congratulated Fayose for the undeserved victory, the saturday June 21 election is not free, fair and credible. Many social network activist may believe otherwise, forgetting unsavoury events towards the election.

What is free in an election in which votes were bought with money, in which the so called winner and his agents including the Minister of defence paid #3000 - #5000 to be voted for. You called an election in which the labour party candidate Bamidele Opeyemi was paid billions of naira to ask his supporters to vote for Fayose overnight?

How free is an election in which two sitting governors were prevented from entering Ekiti to solidarise with one of their colleagues in his last rally before the saturday election. What is fair in an election in which voters name got missing and some have to treck far distances from where they registered before they can vote; how fair is the election in which a member of the ruling was killed by mobile policemen during a peaceful rally and OC MOPOL threatened to kill the governor for protesting the killing of one of his supporters. The intimidation of Ekiti people , the hunting and arrest of strong APC members in Are, Oke orun and other areas.

How can a reasonable mind adjudged an election in which my humble self was declared wanted in the streets of Ado and one Shina a member of Gani Adams led OPC was mandated to identified me to either be killed or arrested and detained. How credible is the election in which the electoral umpire was clearly compromised and voters cards was cloned with the connivance of Jega INEC.

The truth of the matter is that Fayemi did not lose the election in a free, fair and credible contest which is a dress rehearsal to another electoral heist in Osun.
