As Ekiti Decides: A clarion call to United Nation and other International community

That today is the d-day for Ekiti populace to decide who governs them for the next four years is no more a story but the preparations and atmosphere of the state calls for concern.

There has been accusations and counter accusations from opposing angles before today but the reality on ground is worthy of discussion.


AS much as the security of lives,properties and votes of Ekiti and it's people are important,the psychological effect (on voters) of the presence across the state and most especially the known strongholds of the ruling APC of too many security operatives calls for attention.

A). Ekiti is not in war and will never be,but having 24,000 mobile police officers to man 2195 pooling Booths in the whole state calls for questioning.

B) Mobilization of 12,000 army officers to man 750,753 voters in Ekiti is worrisome not only because of the number but the fact that the officers on ground in Ekiti now is populated by officers of the rank of lieutenant cornnel,is Ekiti in war? GOD FORBID.

C). 500 Civil Defence officers were mobilized from each state 'Co's of this election. Of all the security operatives that were mobilized for this election neither the police nor military officers from the Southwestern states was inclusive. Why this?

The mobilized military officers had earlier shown their partisanship by curtailing the constitutionally guaranteed rights of three serving governors of Rivers, Edo & Kano respectively. Gov Rotimi Amaechi, Adams Oshiomole, and Kwakwanso were barred by the military from attending the grand rally of John Kayode Fayemi of the APC opposition whereas PDP persons of same status were not so treated . This is nothing but an affront against our constitution and a call for Anarchy!

I hereby implore the good people of Ekiti, well meaning Nigerians, the united nations, and other international communities to bear in mind that Ekiti's election is a pointer to the success or otherwise of the 2015 general election.

I pray the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan led PDP will not truncate our hard earned democracy with this absolute power.
