Latest Update: Emir Of Kano For Burial 4pm

The Late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, who died in the early hours of today, will be buried by 4pm.

The Walin Kano, Mahe Bashir Wali made the disclosure, after the official announcement of the Emir’s death by the Emirate Council. 

According to him, the Emir died at about 6am today.

Late Alhaji Ado Bayero will be buried at his Nasarawa GRA residence.

The Late Emir was aged 84, (July 25, 1930 - June 6, 2014)) was the Emir of Kano in Nigeria, a position he held from 1963 to his death . He was a former ambassador to Senegal. He was the son of Abdullahi Bayero dan Muhammad Abbas.

Ado Bayero was the 13th Fulani emir since the Fulani War of Usman dan Fodio, when the Fulani took over the Hausa city-states.

Survived by 63 children.
