Justice M.T Salihu of the Federal High Court sitting in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Friday, 13 May, 2016, granted bail to five former employees of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, who are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over a N61 million fraud.
The five accused who were arraigned on April 7, 2016, are: Bukar Musti, Mahmud Deji Sambo, Muhammad Sale Kasim, Alkali Ibrahim Gonimi and Haruna Katangana.
Justice Salihu granted bail to Musti and Sambo, in the sum of N60m each and two sureties with N30m each.
The sureties must have a house within the jurisdiction of the honorable court and one of the houses must be worth N10m.
He also granted bail to others in similar conditions.
The case was adjourned till June13, 14, 15&16, 2016 for trial.
