"NIGERIA IS A NATION YOU MUST NEVER DISCUSS OR BOTHER ABOUT ."
How I wish my dad has told me the above truth instead of telling me about his love for Nigeria.
How I wish the parents of Gani Fawehinmi, Ken Saro-Wiwa, Dele Giwa, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Olisa Agbakoba and Fela Anikulapo have also told them the above truth.
You don't bother about a nation where the oppressed vehemently defend their oppressors always.
You don't bother about a nation where Suffering and Smiling,, Lack of History, Pretence, Double-Standard and Propaganda have been entrenched forever.
You don't discuss a nation where IBB hide under the word DEREGULATION to increase Pump Price; drained the citizens to enrich the few political holders. Abacha did the same, OBJ did the same, GEJ did the same and now GMB, and yet citizens keep shouting "We Need This Change Now or Never" and you wonder Which Change???
I wonder what Idris AbdulKareem saw then when he sang "Jagajaga, Poor man dey suffer suffer."
Which nation on earth pay subsidy on its own natural product after several decades of discovery?
Which oil-producing nation on earth talks of Subsidy or Deregulation?
There was a country indeed! A strange nation! Thank God I have the privilege of hanging my boots at this age and level. Thank God I'd be able to teach my children never to bother.
As a student of history, I can discern a Revolutionary President when I see one. It shouldn't take anyone more than 6-months to discover, no matter what. Any government that insensitively impose this kind of evil upon its citizens has no understanding of what revolution or change is.
