According to him, "Private planes are banned from landing at the Kano international Airport to frustrate those intending to fly into Kano to congratulate HRH emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi."

Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who is the newly installed Emir of Kano was furiously suspended by the Nigerian President Jonathan as a result of the former accusing of the government corrupt practices, reckless spending and un-remittance of the huge amount of the oil revenue to the federation account by the NNPC.
Before the final confirmation of Sanusi as the Emir of Kano by the Kano state government, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has went on the air congratulating the first son of the late Emir as the newly installed emir which many considered as part of PDP led government plans to cause confusion and shows the level of there hatred for installed Emir, Sanusi.
