In the wake of that unfaithful day,
It all started like child's play,
We are awake daily to shooting
and bombing,
Our dear Nation becomes a battlefield,
Kidnapping and killing was the order,
As we are now prey to the predators,
In silence we pray.
Our men are held has prisoners,
Our women has captives,
Our children held in bondage,
Our hard gain freedom is taken from us,
We are all slaves to our faceless masters.
That unfaithful day,
The Sun would have rise from the east and set in the west,
The market would have been filled with wares,
At night, Everyone back to their tent,
Suddenly, they struck with their poisonous sting,
You became a victim of circumstance,
Against your will, Off to the devil's den.
The brightest of us become nut,
The bravest of us became coward,
We shall speak not,
We shall hear not,
And we shall see not,
This is the moment everyone plays
deaf and dump,
Your mum is in birth tears again,
Like a sheep to the slaughter, you'll lay
in wait,
Like a slaves to the master, we murmur
in pains.
In hope, we are hopeless,
In help, we are helpless,
The deed is done, it is a devil's knot,
To unravel it, its a great work,
This is not the time of promise,
Nor the time to trade words,
This is not the time of what's wrong or right,
Nor the time to judge,
This is the moment of truth,
We must unite as one with the rest of the world,
With great faith and undiluted love,
To bring our girls back home.
But where the road turn?
We don't know,
When shall you return?
Maybe tomorrow,
But as dark as the sky maybe,
As cool as the night breeze maybe,
If there's no twinkling stars,
Or the moon refuse to shine bright,
Look inward into your innocent hearts,
Cast your wish as if to the stars,
With the world prayers as a guarding light,
Surely, you will be home in no time.
May God lead you home.
