Weeks of black out looms in the south western states of Nigeria as Osogbo sub-power distribution station that supplies power to many parts of the region was destroyed by fire last night.
The causes of the inferno that may put many of the major towns and communities in Osun and neighboring states to an unforeseen darkness is yet to be ascertained.
Men of the Osun Fire Brigades or Fire fighters were unavailable to save the station from total destruction.
In a rescue mission, the Deputy Governor of the state of Osun, Otunba titi-Laoye Tomori was reported to have joined other people in the area to quench the fire.
An unconfirmed report says the level of damages and destruction of Osogbo power station was enormous which may takes the distribution company many weeks before repairing and restoration.
