Following the unfortunate slip of the tongue made by PM David Cameron about Nigeria supposedly being fantastically corrupt, Buhari saw an excellent opportunity to embark on a diplomatic assault intended to sell Nigeria's image in the eyes of the British public and the international community. And he went for it in earnest!
Besides meeting the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby at the anti-corruption conference in London yesterday, The President also paid him a courtesy call at Lambeth Palace. The Lambeth Palace is situated on the south bank of River Thames, opposite the UK Parliament. It has been the historic London residence of Archbishops of Canterbury since the 13th Century. It acts as a home for the Archbishop and his family when in London. It also acts as the central office for his national and international ministry.
Anyone who claims to wish Nigeria well must surely pray for the good health, long life, protection and total success of President Muhammadu Buhari. Never has never had it this good at the Presidency.
