The Nigerian Troops have again captured a massive armoury of arms and ammunition sited in one of the camps of Boko Haram terrorists yesterday night in the ongoing counter terrorists military campaign.
Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Chris Olukolade made this known in a statement to the public.
According to him, “the large quantities of weapons recovered in the raid are still being evacuated from the scene of the night raid where several terrorists died.
Olukolade said “Similar operations took place in coordination with the troops of Multi-National Joint Task Force in the raids in other camps located in the outskirts of Duguri, Polkime, Malafatori and other locations around the fringes of Lake Chad” the statement said. “substantial (sum of) money in different currencies and denominations were also recovered from the camps. A total of seven terrorists were captured in the operation”.
He however noted that “a soldier died while five got injured during the operation”.
