Emerging facts indicate that the Senators loyal to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, are in a state of shock as the South-West Youth Assembly of Nigeria on Thursday, May 26, in a solidarity visit, presented to Senator Kabiru Marafa of Zamfara Central, an award of excellence.
The senator who is an unrepentant critic of Saraki, has been insisting that the leadership of the 8th Senate forged it’s standing rules.
He had identified Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, and others, as major culprits in the alleged forgery.

FirstNation is owned by former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu, currently the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). A report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that yesterday’s incident happened at about mid-day and involved two Airbus 330 conveying not fewer than 250 passengers.

Ekiti Elections- Why Fayemi Lost And The Lessons For APC
Most APC die-hard supporters could not believe there would be an upset. But the handwriting became clearer on the wall when it was obvious that Bimbo Daramola, Yemi Adaramodu, Adewale Omirin, the Deputy Governor Prof Mrs Adelabu and former Governor Niyi Adebayo all lost their wards/booths. From results, out of the 12 wards in Oye Local Government, Governor Kayode Fayemi's Local Government, APC won only 2 wards while PDP cleared the rest.

The Journey To Great Political Change Has Begun —Tinubu
Being the text of an address delivered by APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the national convention of the party in Abuja yesterday
No one is more elated than me today at this convention ground. No more is history in the making; history has been made with the formation and now the first national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC). I welcome you all.
We are gathered here because of the love for country. We know no other country than Nigeria. And because Nigeria matters, we have taken up the challenge to make it better. Conscious of the fact that our country hangs on in the face of a stupendous crisis, mindful that if we do nothing the slide into anarchy and underdevelopment will come upon us, and convinced that our collective effort and sacrifice at a time such as this can reverse for the better the lot of our people, we have put our hands to the plough. Never to look back!

John Oyegun, Ex-Edo Governor, emerges new APC Chairman
A former Governor of Edo state, John Oyegun, has emerged the new Chairman of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC. The emergence of Mr. Oyegun, who will now succeed ex-Governor Bisi Akande, followed intense negotiations and horse trading among various contending forces in the party.
His nomination was subsequently ratified by APC delegates at the first National Convention of the party, holding at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
Mr. Oyegun’s candidature was promoted by a national leader of the party and former Governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu. Mr. Oyegun’s main challenger and former governor of Bayelsa state, Timipre Sylva, who was the candidate of choice for the governors elected under the banner of the party, reportedly stepped down for Mr. Oyegun earlier in the day.

Goodluck Jonathan faces challenge from anti-corruption ex-general By William Wallis in London
Muhammadu Buhari, who could emerge as the main challenger to Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan at next year’s elections, is positioning himself as the strongman needed to root out corruption and roll back the brutal Islamist insurgency tearing at the country.
“We are almost over the cliff,” says the 71-year old former general, who seized power in 1983 and ruled Africa’s most populous nation with authoritarian zeal before being overthrown by rival generals 20 months later.
The coalition he formed last year alongside Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos state and political godfather in Nigeria’s Yoruba-speaking southwest, and Atiku Abubakar, a wealthy former vice-president, will on Friday begin the delicate task of choosing party leaders.

Some aggrieved leaders of the All Progressives Congress have dragged a national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, its National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, the Independent National Electoral Commission and two others to court alleging imposition of candidates in the just-concluded congresses of the party in Lagos State.
The plaintiffs, Mr. Akinniyi Akinsiju, Michael Ajayi and three others, filed the suit on behalf of members of the New Lagos Movement, a faction of the party. FANI - KAYODE AND THE APC STRANGE DREAM OF A MUSLIM/MUSLIM TICKET (PART 2)
Boko Haram: Femi Fani-Kayode And APC Muslim/Muslim Ticket (1)
All the clever rationalisations and justifications in the world for presenting a muslim/muslim ticket will not enable us to escape this ugly tag. As a matter of fact they will simply confirm it. We have a lot of work to do in this respect and permit me to share just one of the things that we ought to do very quickly if we wish to avoid the consequences of our own folly.
We must go out of our way to redress the religious imbalance in our Interim National Executive where you have virtually ALL the KEY positions in the hands of muslims and where it is only the lesser positions that the Christians enjoy.
