Bomb explosion rocked Staff Quarters mosque of the University of Maiduguri, many feared killed

Bomb explosion has occurred at the Staff Quarters mosque of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State during the dawn prayers, many feared killed. May the souls of the dead rest in peace.

Although details are sketchy, but it was gathered that a professor Aliyu Mani, of the faculty of veterinary medicine was killed in the blast.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the police in Borno State, Victor Isuku said, “Yes, I can confirm there was an explosion within the premises of University of Maiduguri during the early morning prayers by Muslim faithfuls.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Damian Chukwu, has mobilized his men to the scene for on on the spot assessment of situation there.”
