Southern Kaduna Killing: We are in total Control says President Buhari

We have in the last one week taken important steps to end the killings and violence in Southern Kaduna, as I promised in my New Year Message.

The Inspector-General of Police has visited the region to assess the situation, and to oversee deployment of conventional and mobile officers.

The Army and Air Force are also at work in the region. The Army is setting up two battalions while the Air Force is carrying out air surveillance.

The DSS is also working with the military and Police to provide Intelligence, to help tackle the crisis.
I have also since directed NEMA to work with Kaduna's SEMA, to bring urgent aid to the victims of the violence.

I'm being regularly briefed on the situation, and also aware that the Kaduna State Govt is carrying out peace-building efforts, to bring lasting resolution to the crisis.

Let me once again extend my deepest condolences to the victims of the violence.
