INEC PROCEDURE FOR 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS: Only those with Permanent Voters' Cards will be allowed to vote

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC said only those with Permanent Voters' Cards will be allowed to vote during the 2015 general elections.

According to the INEC, Voters are expected to check their names in the displayed voters' register. Those who registered before but do not see their names in the displayed register are to re-register during the Continuous Voter Registration process.

The CVR exercise is not for those who wish to transfer. Those wishing to transfer should write to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in their new states of domicile well before the election, as no transfer will be approved less than 30 days to the election.
Those who have lost or damaged their cards may apply for them to be replaced by writing to the Resident Electoral Commissioner through the INEC Electoral Officer of the Local Government Area where they registered for the replacement well before the election.

No replacement will be approved and no new card will be issued less than 30 days to the election.

INEC PROCEDURE FOR VOTRS CARD DISTRIBUTION AND CVR:

PHASE 1:
Permanent Voters Cards Distribution begins May 23-25, 2014 in the following states: Taraba, Gombe, Zamfara, Kebbi, Benue, Kogi, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa
Phase 1 of the Continuous Voter Registration begins May 28- June 1 in the ff states: Taraba, Gombe, Zamfara, Kebbi, Benue, Kogi, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa.

PHASE 2
Permanent Voters Card Distribution begins July 18- July 20 in the ff states: FCT, Yobe, Bauchi, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kwara, Anambra, Ebonyi, Ondo, Oyo, Delta, Cross River
Phase 2 of the Continuous Voter Registration begins July 23- July 27 in the ff states: FCT, Yobe, Bauchi, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kwara, Anambra, Ebonyi, Ondo, Oyo, Delta, Cross River.

PHASE 3
Permanent Voters Card Distribution begins August 22- August 24 in the ff states: Adamawa, Borno, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Plateau, Nassarawa, Niger, Imo, Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Rivers 
Phase 3 of the Continuous Voter Registration begins August 28-August 31 in the following states: Adamawa, Borno, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Plateau, Niger, Nassarawa, Imo, Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Rivers.
