Ashimolowo Urges Christians to Pray for Kidnapped Chibok Schoolgirls

The Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has called on the Christians to pray earnestly for the release of the schoolgirls kidnapped by the Boko Haram Islamist terrorists in Chibok, Borno state.

He said the situation leaves room for suspicion of collusion with the government and Boko Haram supporters.

Exactly month ago (April 14) the Islamist Boko Haram group kidnapped more than 200 school girls in Borno state with the claims that majority of them are Christians students of the area.


Countries and friends of Nigerian state have wage in to help Nigeria rescue the girls unhurt. US, UK, Canada, France and Israel are all currently assisting in the location of the abducted girls students.

Boko Haram Leader, Shekau has threatened to sell the girls into sex slavery but has again offered to trade them in exchange for their members in government  prisons. Activists and many other Nigerian kicked against government buying the option presented by the sect.

Asomolowo said: "The majority of the girls who were kidnapped by the terrorist group Boko Haram are Christians. This leaves room for suspicion of collusion with the state government and some unknown supporters."


"Please pray that God will #BringBackOurGirls, with nothing broken, nothing spoilt." He said.
