The Boko Haram Leader Abubakar Shekau in a 27-minute video showing some girls all wearing hijab has been released by Boko Haram says the CNN.
They are suspected to be the girls kidnapped from Chibok nearly a month ago.
The girls were also seen reciting verses from the Quran, the CNN said, suggesting that they have been converted to Islam.
Although 276 girls are believed to be missing, the girls in the video were estimated at 100.
CNN said it had not verified the authenticity of the video which was delivered to AFP.
Its news flash read: “New video from Boko Haram emerged on Monday that purports to show a number of the missing Nigerian schoolgirls wearing Islamic Hijab headdress, reciting portions of the Quran and making Islamic declarations of faith.”
The time of the shooting of the video is unclear, but it offers some respite that the girls are still alive as efforts to locate and rescue them are yet to yield any fruits.
