“The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future”. Sir Ahmadu Bello, Parrot Newspaper, Oct 12, 1960.

“Anything short of a Northern President is tantamount to stealing our Presidency. Jonathan has to go and he will go. Even if he uses the incumbency power to get his nomination on the platform of the PDP, he would be frustrated out.
The North is determined, if that happens, to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan or any other Southerner who finds his way to the seat of power on the platform of the PDP against the principle of the party’s zoning policy”
- Alhaji Lawan Kaita, former Governor of the old Kaduna State, on October 5, 2010".

My observations are as follows:-
- First, it is either GEJ knows the reason behind these terrorist activities and feel that Hausa/Fulani North must resolve the problem they created.
OR, the President is incompetent to deal with these terrorists.
When former Army Chief, Ifejirika, was still heading the fight against Boko Haram, though not outright, but there was some element of zeal on the army to fight Boko Haram. Since GEJ removed him, there is this mad escalation of Boko Haram activities. Far from what GEJ and the new Army Chief promised us when new Army Chief took over, the killings and kidnappings have increased dramatically. One may be tempted to ask ''why''?
MY SUGGESTIONS AND SOLUTIONS:-
- To GEJ, my opinion is that, though we all understand that Boko Haram is the weapon being used by Hausa/Fulani oligarch to achieve political power, as clearly indicated by the above 2 quotes from Sir Ahmadu Bello and Alhaji Lawan Kaita, but it will be very unwise if you choose to allow these bloodthirsty terrorists to keep killing innocent citizens in the North. We know that commoners in the North have been brainwashed to support this Hausa/Fulani ''born to rule'' mentality (quoting Sokoto State car registration number plates), however, 2 bad cannot make one good. Let's join hands together and rescue commoners in the North from this inhuman abyss of poverty and cycle of violence that their failed leaders have subjected them to for decades. GEJ, you must not allow our Northern brothers and sisters to perish under terror from Boko Haram.
- To Hausa/Fulani oligarch, my suggestion is that you should stop your ''born to rule'' mentality. As you can clearly see, though you held power for decades, your people are the most backward when compared to other parts of Nigeria. You created an enclave full of illiterate people subjected to all kinds of known and unknown sicknesses and diseases, including but not limited to leprosy, blindness, polio, cholera, etc, as well as social ills such as but not limited to street beggars, arms racketeers, thieves, mass murderers, looters, suicide bombers, Maitecine, Boko Haram, etc, etc.
-To my Northern brothers and sisters, you worth better than these badness befalling you. It is not your destiny! It is not your fate.
Shakespeare wrote that ''men of sometimes are masters of their fate. The ill is in us, not in our fate''. Rise up and say no to these selfish Hausa/Fulani oligarch that have ruined your life for decades!
Make no mistake, the South, where GEJ comes from, are not so proud of his tenure, because he also failed Southerners in many ways! But the problem most Southerners have with Hausa/Fulani agenda is that it is not for the interest of the masses. Hausa/Fulani agenda is just to snatch power again, enrich themselves, and keep majority of Northerners poor and sick, just as they have done for decades. Say no to these selfish oligarchs. Take a look to what you have today and compare it to your lives 15 years ago. Common farmers in the North have now been empowered more than ever before. And am sure that if there is peace in the North, lives of common Northerners must have greatly improved. But the Hausa/Fulani oligarch knows this, and doesnt want you to see the light of the day. They want to keep you in perpetual poverty and darkness, so that they will keep brainwashing you.
- To Hausa/Fulani oligarch, my suggestion is this:- You know that you offended the rest of Nigerians, North, East, South, West. We all know that, for decades, you offended us. But we are ready to forgive you. You are our brothers and sisters.
You need to understand that Nigerians are angry. You need to understand that the era of ''born to rule'' have ended,..and ended forever. Nigeria of today is not Nigeria of 20 years ago. Most people now knows there rights. There is free flow of information. People no more depends on paid workers in govt controlled media to get info. So, allow Nigerians to shape their part to their future. Your turn for taking over the Presidency will come later. Not now. Let other parts of Nigeria, including the Igbos, Igalas, Nupes, Idomas, etc, etc, have a taste. Let the Ijaws finish their turn. No need to keep trying your luck. Make a rethink. Come out openly and beg Nigerians for apology. We will forgive you. As I wrote above, you are our brothers and sisters. As wise adults, we understand that people do err. We also understand that to forgive is divine.
So, do what the whites did after fall of apartheid in South Africa. Ask for forgiveness, and Nigerians will happily forgive. I strongly believe that Nigerians are not on any revenge mission, and will never. But if this is not acceptable to you, then work for the peaceful desolation of the country, so that everybody will go home in peace. These are the viable paths to peace, justice and fair-play!
As-salamu alaykum !! May you have peace!!!
