At least, three of the sect members were arrested on Tuesday in Diffa, a town close to Niger capital, Niamey.
Reuters reports that the military sources indicated that some of the sect members escaped to Nigeria after some of their members were arrested by the security forces when they attacked an army patrol team in the eastern region of Diffa.
Boko Haram is the major security threat facing the Nigerian state. Three weeks agao, over 200 girls were kidnapped by the sects in a Government secondary Girls School in Chibok, Bonor state.
An additional eight girls have also reported kidnapped on Tuesday in Borno state.
